A LONG, PLEATED FORTUNY-STYLE FORMAL DINNER DRESS IN ROYAL BLUE,

Inspired by the work of Fortuny and of Erte, the dress is embroidered at the neck with a yoke of blue bugle beads, which are echoed at the waist with a diamond motif of the same beads. The Princess wore this dress during her state visit to Japan, for a dinner with Emperor Hirohito in 1986.
