(Piece torn and replaced lower margin of 1/2, marginal tear in 26/4 repaired by stitching, tear in 14/1 affecting text but without loss, very light dampstain in 2/5.) Contemporary half calf over wooden boards, blindstamped, 2 brass fore-edge clasps, yellow edges, parchment index tabs, one stamp is Schwenke-Sammlung Laubstab 36 which Schunke identifies with Leipzig, Kyriss shop 106, although the Laubstab pictured in Kyriss is Schunke Laubstab 35, another stamp possibly Schunke Blattwerk 350, from a shop localized at Cologne. Provenance: Werner Winter, inscription partly erased [F. Wernerus Winter Muschenheimius sibi et suis confratribus et B. Mariae virgini in [--] Anno Domini 1511 (for another book owned by Winter, see Walsh, Harvard 687); occasional contemporary marginal notes.
