The Haskell patent ball was one of the greatest single inventions in golf, the new ball made by the Goodrich Tyre and Rubber Co, of Arran, Ohio and called after its inventor, Coburn Haskell was the first golf ball made with a centre core, wound with elastic tape and then covered.
