A GLASGOW (DELFTFIELD) POLYCHROME CRESTED PLATE
Circa 1760

Painted in a Fazackerly palette with blue, yellow and red flowering shrubs with grey/green foliage, flanked by trailing flowers, the border with a mermaid crest in underglaze-blue (some glaze flaking and wear to rim)
9in.(23cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

The crest is almost certainly that of Murray of Polmaise
