Lot Essay

Sakrow was a small town in the vicinity of Berlin and was a popular place for Berlin people to go for long walks and to go riding. With its picturesque forests and rural setting it provided an ideal spot for some of Liebermann's most mature Impressionist paintings.

Prof. Dr. Matthias Eberle has kindly confirmed the authenticity of this work
