FIRST EDITION, LARGE PAPER COPY WITH THE PLATES IN TWO STATES, folio (470 x 320 mm.), title and text in English and French, frontispiece and 40 plates by R. and D. Havell after Walker, each in two states, one hand-coloured aquatint before titles with grey wash borders, the other outline etching (except plate 5 Fisherman which is present in uncoloured aquatint in place of outline etching), contemporary red straight-grained morocco, sides with fine gilt-and blind-tooled borders and panels, spine gilt, g.e., (rebacked preserving original backstrip)
