A drawing in the Louvre which is related by Bruce William Davis (The Drawings of Ciro Ferri, 1986, p.244 and pl.16) to Ferri's picture on copper in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna (Die Gemäldegalerie des Kunsthistorischen Museums in Wien. Verzeichnis der Gemälde, 1991, p.55 and pl.174) is closer in many respects to the present painting, although in the opposite sense
