INDENT Private Charles Fraser, born 1778 at Ardersier, Inverness-shire, attested for the Gordon Highlanders 7 June 1794, at the age of 16; his name is on the original muster roll of the Regiment which was embodied at Aberdeen 24 June 1794 and was numbered the 100th Regiment under the Command of the Marquis of Huntly, son of the 4th Duke of Gordon; served at Gibraltar and Corsica 1794-98, and, with the Regiment now renumbered 92nd Foot, in Holland at Alkmaar and Egmont-op-Zee 1799; in Egypt, took part in the Battle of Mandora, 1801, and served at Copenhagen 1807; was present at the Battle of Corunna 1809, Fuentes d'Onor 1811, the action at Arrayo de Molnios 22 October 1811, the battle of Vittoria 1813 (wounded) and the action in the Pass of Mayo 23 July 1813 (wounded) and the action in the Pass of Mayo 25 July 1813 (wounded in the breast - supposed killed); Private Fraser was discharged 16 November 1814, after 20 years service with the colours
