INDENTLieutenant James Frederick Venmore, M.C. of Liverpool, educated at Liverpool College, originally enlisted in the 3rd Liverpool Pals Bn., was commissioned in the 14th Royal Welsh Fusiliers and sent to France, December 1914; he was awarded the M.C. for rescuing a badly wounded man from an advance post in No-man's-land (further details with group). Lieutenant Venmore was killed in action, Mametz Wood, 11th July 1916
