Original manuscript in pen and ink and watercolour, heightened with varnish, on thick paper with blindstamp Bristol Cross & Sons Paper, in 14 sections joined, title within armorial cartouche on verso of first section (140 x 265mm. folded, extending to 140 x 3710mm.) (outer sections somewhat stained). Blindstamp Terence Bryant 1980 Bristol Collection on last section.

This colourful procession, most on foot, but some mounted on horseback, depicts City dignitaries, Clergy, Military and Naval Officers, Free Masons etc. and an extensive assortment of trades and professions, all carrying aloft banners and standards and models and replicas of their trades. Included are Shipwrights, Smiths, Coachmakers, Glaziers, Tailors, Brass and Copper Smiths, Carpenters, Printers, Cabinet Makers, Potters, Confectioners, Wheelwrights, etc. etc.
