The 3-litre, introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1950, was one of the longest lived designs of this classic period. Between 1950 and 1954, the 3-litre appeared as the TA21, TB21, TC21 and TC21/100, the latter being the first post-war 100mph saloon.

This very attractive maroon coachbuilt Alvis TA21 with matching interior has a beige hood and underwent some restoration ten years ago, the MoT has just been renewed. There seems to have been only three owners, the first from 1952-54. The second owner was the BBC broadcaster, Joseph Todd Macleod who eloped with a lady to Italy in the car, returning in 1965 with the car, but without the lady! He kept a log of his travels during his ownership recording destinations, mileage, petrol consumption and any work carried out. The present owner bought the car in 1966 and informs us that it is in good condition throughout apart from the original leather upholstery which is starting to show its age.

An original instruction manual, current registration document and the log of journies are included with this handsome motor car.
