Lot Essay

Marion Mahoney (1871-1962) was an important member of Frank Lloyd Wright's Oak Park architectural firm. Mahoney left Wright's studio in 1911 when she married Walter Burley Griffin, another of Wright's assistants, and they formed their own architectural firm.
