In 1952 Austin and Morris merged to form the British Motor Corporation and from then onwards the Wolseley's individuality was gently, but firmly phased out. The first Wolseley to have an Austin engine was the 2.6 litre 6/90 introduced in 1955 which shared a body with the Riley Pathfinder. In the summer of 1956 the last Nuffield engine was phased out when the 4/44 was replaced with the 15/50 using the Austin 1.2-litre B series engine. Due to the slightly dated design the 15/50 was only produced for two years before the 15/60 was introduced which used the BMC'c Farina-styled body.

This example has been garaged for the past few years and it is thought the last MoT expired about 3 years ago. The paintwork is slightly discoloured probably owing to poor paint matching. Apart from the paintwork the vehicle is described as original and quite servicable.
