Tokugawa Yoshinobu, formerly known as Hitotsubashi (Stots-Bashi), was the fifteenth and last Tokugawa Shogun in Japan from the Bakumatsu period. He was overthrown by Shimadgu Saburo, the Satsuma prince in 1868.

An engraving after the photograph of the Shogun in full court costume appears in William Elliot Griffis' The Mikado's Empire, vol. 1, p. 314, (illus.)
