1994 HAKEEM OLAJUWON CHAMPIONSHIP RING
In 1984 the World Champion Houston Rockets were presented with elaborate Championship rings created by Diamond Cutters International of Houston, Texas. The players selected these rings over a much cheaper ring offered by the team. Two rings were not accepted - the ones for coach Rudy Tomjonovich and for MVP Hakeem Olajuwon. Olajuwon's non-acceptance was based on his religious belief which forbids the wearing of yellow gold. The ring is 14K gold and weighs 55 pennyweight. It contains 1.60 carats of investment grade VVS1, E hard cut calibrated baguettes, .40 carats of fancy intense canary yellow diamonds and .15 carats of full cut white melee diamonds.
