Blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter q for 1769, painter's mark for Xhrouet
Painted with a band of linked wreaths of berried laurel, flowers and gilt laurel reserved on a gilt sablé ground enriched with blue polka dots between narrow bands of gilt Vetruvian scrolls on a beau bleu ground, comprising:
An oviform teapot and cover (théière 'Calabre' et couvercle), 5 1/8in. (13cm.) high
A footed cream-jug (pot à lait 'à trois pieds', 1er. grandeur), 5 1/8in. (13cm.) high
A sugar-bowl and cover (pot à sucre 'Calabre' et couvercle), 4 1/8in. (110.5cm.) high
