Lot Essay

This rather unusual little bear is featured in issue twenty-one of Teddy Bear Times.
Little is known about The Steevans Manufacturing Co., although it is believed they only existed for a few years and went out of business in the early 1920s. An existing advertisement advertising the teddy bear with musical chimes has helped us date this particular example.
