A carefully penned manuscript of four full bars from Grieg's Piano Sonata Op.7, marked "alla menuetto," in ink on two hand-drawn staves, the portrait depicting the composer in black tie, with crossed arms, looking boldly into the camera. Grieg wrote extensively for the piano, notably his ten volumes of Lyric Pieces and other short compositions, many derived from Norwegian folk-music. His four movement Piano Sonata in E minor, Op.7, is entitled Siren's Enticement -- [With]: BRAHMS, Johannes (1833-1897).
