the size 7¼ hat by Geo. Spencer, Portsmouth with gold braid around the rim, double bullion loop with twist and gilt KC button, and bullion tassles; together with a pair of epaulettes for a Vice-Admiral by Gieve, Matthews & Seagrove Ltd, Portsmouth with two pips, crossed sword and scabbard, crown and securing button, all contained within a plush lined tin chest, with name H.S. Monroe R.N. inscribed on top -- 8 x 18½ x 9¼in. (20.2 x 47 x 23.5cm.)
