Of Louis XV design, 19th Century
The cylinder movement with outside countwheel, inscribed Julien LeRoy, striking on a single bell, with silk suspension, the white enamel dial with black Roman hour numerals and Arabic minute numerals, inscribed Julien LeRoy á Paris, in rococo balloon-shaped case, cast with acanthus and trailing foliage, the shaped pediment surmounted by a seated figure of a winged putto holding a lyre, the pierced frieze cast with musical trophies, on pierced shaped rectangular c-scroll, acanthus and shell-cast base, ending in scrolled supports
