A fine 2-inch (5.1cm.) diameter celestial globe made up of twelve coloured engraved gores laid to the celestial poles, the equatorial and the colures graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac, the constellations elegantly and delicately drawn in orange on a green ground and depicted by mythical beasts and figures and scientific instruments, the stars to five orders of magnitude, with an unengraved brass meridian half-circle, raised on an elegant turned ivory column and plinth base, the column with an applied label for A NEW CELESTIAL GLOBE London -- 4in. (10.1cm.) high
