All the names shown have been adopted by the International Astronomical Union. The names of those formations not visible from the Earth are printed in red. A 13-inch (33cm.) diameter lunar globe by Greaves & Thomas and bearing their red crown stamp mark, made from the acetates of the unissued Pergamon globe of 1963, made up of twelve chromolithographed green and cream gores, two and a half with no detail, and two polar calottes, the equatorial and equinoctial colure graduated in degrees, the surface shown in photographic relief with place names in red, with a steel finial and raised on a circular ebonised wood base -- 16½in. (41.9cm.) high
