GLOBVS COELESTIS plusquam 2500 Stellarum ad A1762 ex cat Flamst calculatarum, designatus a G.M. Lowitz & editg ab Hom Hered 1747
A modern 4½-inch (11.4cm.) diameter facsimile celestial table globe, from a 5½-inch diameter original, made up of twelve hand-coloured reproduced gores laid to the ecliptic poles, the axis through the celestial poles, with graduated equatorial and ecliptic, the constellations depicted by mythical beasts and figures, the stars to six orders of magnitude (fine detail too obscure to read) with unengraved brass meridian circle held by a tightening screw in an unengraved brass horizon ring, raised on four baluster-turned brass legs, with a separate turned fruitwood base -- 7in. (17.8cm.) high
