A 13-inch (33cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees and hours, the Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic ungraduated, the oceans with ocean currents, steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and journey time in days, the major routes highlighted in blue, submarine cable lines and the route of the Graf Zeppelin between Europe and South America, the continents with nation states variously coloured and showing numerous details including towns and cities of varying sizes, railway lines, telegraph lines, rivers, mountains, deserts, the Chinese Wall, caravan routes and other details, with a list of different commodities such as grain, copper and many others, each with a symbol or colour marked around the globe to denote their sources, with a stamped brass meridian ring and horizon circle, raised atop an impressive bronze figure of an eagle perched on a rocky outcrop, on a turned and stepped black marble base -- 32½in. (82.5cm.) high
