"GEOGRAPHIA" 6 INCH TERRESTRIAL GLOBE "GEOGRAPHIA" LTD 55 FLEET STR. LONDON E.C.4 [c.1925]
A 6-inch (15.2cm.) diameter terrestrial desk globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores, the equatorial and Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic not shown, the oceans with ocean currents and steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distance in nautical miles, Antarctica with defined and projected coastline, the continents with nation states variously and brightly coloured and showing towns, cities, rivers and major railways, Leningrad with (Petrograd) after (some minor small areas of discolouration and abrasion, slight split around equator for approx.60° in Indian Ocean), with an unengraved brass meridian half-circle raised on an ebonised baluster-turned wood column and circular plinth base -- 12½in. (31.7cm.) high
