A 6-inch (15.2cm.) diameter celestial table globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores and two polar calottes, the northern printed with an hour dial, laid to the celestial poles, the equatorial graduated in degrees, hours and minutes, one half of the equinoctial colure graduated in degrees, the solstitial colure ungraduated, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac, the constellations depicted by mythical beasts and figures, the stars to five orders of magnitude, with variable stars, some labelled with Greek characters (some minor staining and minor abrasion to varnish) with an unengraved brass meridian half-circle, raised on a baluster-turned mahogany column and circular plinth base -- 10¼in.
