A fine 13-inch (33cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees in both directions, the meridian of Fero graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with sigils, the oceans with ocean currents, Antarctica with mostly projected coastline, the continents finely detailed and with nation states variously and delicately outlined, showing rivers, mountains, towns and cities (minor repair to far-east Asia) with a stamped brass meridian half-circle, raised on an elegant gilt-painted cast-metal stand, the column of tulip form with foliate decoration, atop a circular plinth base -- 23½in. (59.6cm.) high
