A fine 12-inch (30.5cm.) diameter celestial table globe made up of two sets of twelve engraved gores and two polar calottes, laid to the ecliptic poles, the axis through the celestial poles, the equatorial graduated in degrees, hours and minutes, the colures graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac, the constellations finely depicted by mythical beasts and figures and scientific instruments, the stars to seven orders of magnitude with nebulae, with stamped brass hour dial and meridian circle, the mahogany horizon with reproduction paper ring with degrees, compass directions, days of the month and of the houses of the Zodaic and edged in red, raised on four baluster-turned legs united by cross-stretchers -- 17¾in. (45.1cm.) high
