A 10-inch (25.5cm.) diameter terrestrial library globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and meridian of Greenwich graduated in degrees, the ecliptic not shown, the oceans with warm and cold ocean currents, steamship routes and submarine cable lines, the continents with nation states variously coloured and showing rivers, mountains, towns, cities and railways, Leningrad shown, Ethiopia labelled as ABESSINIEN (some abrasions and small areas of discolouration) with stamped brass meridian half-circle, raised on an elegant tapered mahogany column with a square stepped plinth base -- 39½in. (100.3cm.) high
