After the Sevres model, raised on a square base, the body painted with a panel of a draped maiden escorted by a cherub, the reverse with a bouquet of flowers, reserved on a royal blue ground with gilt ribbon- tied floral sprays, two perforated chain loop handles and domed cover with bud finial, gilt mark

Lot Essay

Antonin Boullemier (1840-1900) was born at Metz and trained and worked at Sevres until 1870. He was employed at Minton from 1872, till his death and he exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1881-82. He specialised in delicate figure painting and most notably cupids.
