A Berlin part tea and coffee-service
Circa 1765, blue sceptre marks, gilder's 20. and various incised marks
Painted in overglaze blue camaieu with loose bouquets and scattered flower-sprays within moulded foliage-scroll and feuilles-de-choux panels beneath a blue and gilt vertically fluted borders, the angular gilt vinestock handles with gilt vineleaf terminals, the spouts moulded with masks above gilt-flowered drapery, the covers with gilt bud finials, comprising:
A bullet-shaped teapot and cover
A baluster coffee-pot and cover
A baluster milk-jug
A cylindrical tea-caddy and cover
A circular sugar-bowl and cover
A quatrefoil spoon-tray
A slop-basin
Five teacups
Five coffee-cups
Fifteen saucers
(slight chips and damages, the cups and saucers with rubbing to gilding and rims)
