Associated Weavers (Sales) Ltd based in Oxford Street, London ordered this Bentley though Blue Star Garages Ltd, based in Hampstead High Street, London. The chassis was delivered to Park Ward in October 1953 and was completed and delivered to Blue Star Garages in March the following year, finished in black with a light blue interior bearing the registration OLT 986.

A number of special features were specified on the original order such as an automatic gearbox, flashing indicators, power operated hood and a hood cover in a case.

Little of the car's history is known until Frank Dale & Stepsons handled the sale of the car, while they were based at Farm Lane in the Mid-1980s. Shortly after that the car left British shores and resided in Japan where it has been since, recently being repatriated.

In recent years the car has very limited use. However every aspect of the interior trim is in extremely good order, having been refurbished and seemingly then not used since. Chromework on the car is basically sound but there is light tarnishing to areas of the radiator. The paintwork is older and is very presentable but could benefit from improvement. Due to the length of time the car has been unused in the present ownership, Christie's would recommend a full mechanical inspection before the car was driven.

With attention as we suggest, this would be a welcome future competitor on the Bentley Drivers Club and Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club concours fields, or simply to enjoy open motoring in the summer months ahead. Copies of the factory build sheets are supplied with the car.
