with face type III, long blonde hair, brown painted eyes, wearing original brown frock, underwear and shoes and sole of left foot marked 'Sasha M 303 009 e? CIII van 27' --20¼in. (51cm.) high (some slight fading and dicoloration to limbs)

Lot Essay

Sasha Morgenthaler produced her Studio range from the early 1940s until her death in 1975. Each doll is unique in facial painting, dress and wig. 150-200 of these dolls were made each year, and Sasha painted all the dolls features and chose what the dolls would wear.
