The rectangular canted plaque painted with a slightly raised middle section depicting a conversation piece with five gentlemen and two ladies with Fontange head dresses drinking wine in a Dutch interior with a chequered floor, seated around a table flanked by a maid, surrounded by a blue-ground border reserved with flower branches and with four medallions depicting putti, the moulded rim with a band of stylised foliage, surmounted by a triangular upper part pierced with a hole, the reverse dated 1725, chips to the rim
