A Dutch carved and marbleised hall bench
Second quarter 18th Century
The arched scrolling back carved with vivacious scrolls and floral foliage, centred by a shaped oval panel depicting Mercury and a cowherd headed by a bold rockwork clasp, above a moulded rectangular plank seat with swag apron and on scaled baluster legs headed by scallops, re-decorated, the construction behind the legs replaced
