A Dutch Delft polychrome octagonal chinoiserie garniture
Circa 1700, marked D above K above 2, probably for De Dissel
The globular body painted in blue, green and manganese-red with a continuous scene of a peacock, exotic birds and insects flanked by chrysanthemum branches, above a conical foot with a band of scrolls and stylised flowers, the shoulders with a trailing flower branch, comprising: a vase with domed cover decorated en suite, 43.cm. high; a pair of onion-necked vases, the upright neck with stiff leaves, the globular upper section and flared rim decorated en suite, 36cm. high, old restorations to the rims (3)
