Third quarter 18th Century
The arched rectangular padded back, arms and seat covered in ivory and purple floral Napoleon III tapestry, the frame channelled overall, the waved toprail carved with floral sprays and centred by a scallop shell with flower-heads, above outscrolling arms with foliate scroll terminals and on scrolling arm supports, the serpentine-fronted waved seat-rail carved with foliate scrolls, on cabriole legs headed by scallop shells and terminating in hoof feet
