Apparently unmarked, former Dutch East Indies, 18th Century
Rectangular, fish skin over wooden boards, the front and back cover with central shaped oval plaque depicting a East Indiaman with V.O.C. flag enclosed by scrolls and shells, two silver clasps with monogram V.O.C.R. (Rotterdam) and a silver stylus connecting the clasp and functioning as a catch
