A Dutch leather notebook bearing silver plates with an East Indiaman and the V.O.C.R. monogram
Apparently unmarked, former Dutch East Indies, 18th Century
Of rectangular form, fish skin over wooden boards, the back and front cover with a central silver shaped oval plaque depicting an East Indiaman with V.O.C. flag enclosed by scrolls and shells, two silver clasps with monogram V.O.C.R. (Rotterdam) and a silver stylus connecting the clasps and functioning as a catch
132 x 81mm.
