Wanli period (1573-1619)
Of slightly curved section, decorated on one side with a qilin and a flaming pearl in a garden setting of rocks and peony below clouds drifting across the five peaks, the reverse with a buddhistic lion playing with a brocade ball in a similar setting, all within plain borders and all incised and highlighted in thin brass overlay reserved against the pewter ground
