COMPARATIVE LITERATURE:
Roderick Butler A Study Collection of Marked Domestic Brass and other Base Metalware c.1600-c.1900, 2001. The J.T.& Co. mark is discussed on page 88. Butler states that although not certain, it seems probable that the mark is John Turner & Co of Birmingham. John Turner & Co. is listed in the Birmingham 'Wrightson' directories of 1818 and 1823.
