Cartouche-shaped semi-translucent amethystine-quartz snuff-box with slight baluster sides, within reeded gold mounts with incorporated raised wavy thumbpiece, the slightly domed lid applied with a plaque of a scène galante chased, embossed and pierced in gold, depicting a rococo gallant inviting a seated beauty for a ride in a landscape, within a wavy border of rococo scrolls and foliage, the base with reeded gold mounts
