With earlier flat double-edged blade with blunt point and central fuller on each side incised with a cross originally filled with latten, blued iron hilt comprising straight tapering quillons of circular section and 'scent-stopper' pommel of octagonal section, the grip with later green velvet covering bound with brass wire, in iron-mounted leather scabbard (defective, locket missing)
32½in. (82.5cm.) blade
