An English quarter-striking brass lantern clock, parts 17th century
With two nested bells above pierced frets, engraved front fret, doors to sides and rear, on bulbous feet, Roman chapter ring applied to an engraved dial plate signed Rich.d Martin/Northampton, two steel hands, the twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, with pendulum holdfast and stamp C.V./533 to the back plate; chapter ring, dial plate, pillars, feet, finials and outer bell and strap (possibly) 17th century, the remainder 19th century -- 15¼in, (39cm.) high
