Most of the studies on the recto and verso of this sheet are related to figures in the Assumption of the Virgin painted in 1642 for the church of Mormoiron in the Vaucluse (A. Schnapper, Mignard d'Avignon, exhib. cat., Avignon, Palais des Papes, 1979, no. 20).
