A FLEMISH VERDURE TAPESTRY
Late 17th Century, possibly Lille, reduced in size
Woven in wools and silks, depicting a sculpted fountain with two herons in a wooded landscape with an ornamental garden in the background, within a stylised frame border with stiff-leaf and egg-and-dart bands framing foliate and ornamental scrollwork, minor areas of reweaving particularly to borders
10 ft. 2 in. (310 cm.) x 7 ft. 6 in. (226 cm.)
