A BAVARIAN OFFICIAL'S COURT STYLE SWORD (DEGEN)
Circa 1900
Of generally similar pattern to the previous lot, but of later date and more modest quality, with slender double-edged blade (bearing maker's trademark and initials W.K & C.), brightly blued for about half its length and decorated with small gilt trophies between panels in the blueing, gilt-brass hilt, the grip mounted with crown, lace sword-knot with a crown embroidered each side of the head of the bullion tassel, black leather scabbard with gilt-brass mounts
