A collection of autographs comprising: a black and white Decca Records publicity postcard, 1963, signed on the obverse in blue ballpoint pen by Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman, Richards has inscribed the name HERBERT beneath his own -- 4¼x5½in. (10.3x14cm.); a piece of lined paper signed in black ballpoint pen by Gene Vincent and The Hideaways -- 3½x6in. (9x15cm.); a piece of lined paper signed in green ballpoint pen by all five members of The Animals, additionally inscribed in Chas Chandler's hand Animals -- 6¼x4in. (16x10.2cm.); a piece of lined paper signed in blue ballpoint pen by Manfred Mann, Paul Jones, Mike Vickers and Tom McGuiness -- 6¼x4in. (16x10.2cm.); and a black and white publicity postcard of The Hollies, signed on the obverse by all five members of the group -- 6x4¾in. (15.2x12cm.) (5)

Lot Essay

These signatures were all obtained in 1963 when the various groups, with the exception of Manfred Mann, played at the Assembly Rooms in Tamworth; the vendor recalls that the Stones appeared there in June of that year. The Manfred Mann signatures were obtained at a University of Liverpool gig at the Liver Building.
