The first a boldly carved and stained model of a squid clutching a lotus leaf, the eyes inlaid in horn, with an inscription furyu [hidden dragon], the himotoshi formed by two holes on either side of the stalk; the second a model of a squid with all but two of its legs retracted, the details heavily stained, the eyes inlaid in horn, the himotoshi formed by two holes in the base
