Edo Period (Mid 18th-Mid 19th Century)
The first a stylised bird; the second a herdsman on a water-buffalo accompanied by his wife, signed Toshinaga; the third Jo and Uba with a broom and rake, signed Tomochika; the fourth a demon and a skeleton wrestling, signed Masatoshi; the fifth Raijin standing on his drum smoking a pipe held by an attendant demon, with inlaid horn studs; the sixth Jurojin with a deer; the seventh two figures playing in and on a giant shell; the eighth Jurojin with a stag; the ninth the warrior-monk Benkei subduing two samurai, signed Tomochika; the tenth a cockerel pecking at a bunch of turnips, with traces of red lacquer; the eleventh a frog on a closed lotus leaf, with signature Masatsugu
